It conjures up feelings of nostalgia as we think back to our childhood days and the many hours most of us whiled away letting our imagination run free as we created structures and whole villages and even space stations. And over the years Lego has become more and more sophisticated, appealing to older children and adults alike.

Buy. Use. Trash. Repeat. This is how product design has traditionally worked over the last 50 years. It’s known as the ‘linear consumption model’, and it’s the root cause of so many environmental issues we’re facing today. As a B-Corp, we aim to go above and beyond to help our clients design for obsolescence end of life by creating products that can be reused, repurposed or recycled.

In the last few months, we have been running “agile innovation road map” sessions with our clients as they have seen their costs of goods increase multiple times due to shortages of materials and energy price hikes. This, coupled with the backdrop of a contracting market due to the fear of inflation, anxiety over the war in Ukraine and the constant disruption of covid, has meant they have had to adapt, and we have been working with them on their innovation programme to amend their product road map.
